The City of Pickering is developing its new Corporate Economic Development Strategic Plan (2026-2030), building on the foundation of the 2022 plan and responding to major shifts in Pickering’s economy, growth trajectory, and emerging opportunities.
With significant projects underway, including the City Centre redevelopment, expansion of Seaton, and major infrastructure investments such as the refurbishment of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station, the City is entering a period of transformative change. This strategy will help ensure Pickering remains competitive, resilient, and well‑positioned for long‑term economic growth.
To support this work, the City is inviting local businesses to share their insights throughthis survey. Your feedback will help shape priorities and actions that strengthen Pickering’s business environment, such as investment attraction, support for key sectors, workforce and talent development, small‑business growth, marketing of shovel‑ready lands, and improvements to municipal processes and infrastructure.
