Durham-based artist Malik McKoy is seeking feedback from community members for a new, temporary mural to be installed at Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex early next year.

The upcoming artwork will celebrate first responders and frontline workers. In addition to one-on-one consultation, the feedback collected here will directly inform the artwork McKoy produces.

Malik McKoy is a recent graduate of OCAD University’s Drawing and Painting program and the Game Art and Animation program at Seneca College. McKoy’s work has been featured in Nuit Blanche, the 17th edition of MOMENTA in Montreal and in public screenings as part of Artworx TO with InterAccess and Toronto Animated Image Society.

This project is funded by Commemorate Canada – Reopening Fund.
