Maple Ridge Park is getting a upgrade - share your feedback and help shape the park experience!

Park Location

250 Bushmill Street, adjacent to Maple Ridge Public School. View Google Map.

Project Overview

Maple Ridge Park (see Figure 1) was originally built in the early 1980s, and includes a soccer pitch, a ball diamond, tennis courts, children’s playground, walking paths, and a shade structure adjacent to the stream. Many of the amenities in the park have reached the end of their lifespan and in order to continue providing a safe, reliable, and enjoyable park experience for visitors, the City is looking to upgrade and enhance these features.

Currently, the baseball diamond is not being used much and the City is interested in the possibility of re-programming that area and the open space to the north-east. Share your thoughts and feedback on how you currently use the park, and areas for improvement. All comments received will be reviewed and ultimately help shape the new design.

Timeline

Survey results will be tabulated on January 1st, 2024 by City staff, and will be used to inform us of how the neighbouring residents currently use the park and what improvements they would like to see within the park. Concept plans of the park alterations will be prepared and shared with the residents for further comments. Alterations will be made to the concept plan based on public comment and the final plan will be presented to council for their endorsement. Construction is scheduled for 2025, pending Council approval. What we heard from the survey, plans, and project updates will be posted here.

Your feedback is valuable in shaping the future of your neighbourhood park. Your responses are confidential and will only be used for the purpose of park planning. We appreciate your valuable input!
