Gather and Grow Exhibit Survey

The Pickering Museum Village is developing a permanent exhibition in our Miller Cole House. This exhibit will explore the concepts of Ontario’s land stewardship from multiple cultural perspectives. It investigates how food acts as a healing agent for both mental and physical health, through processes like gathering, preparing, cooking, and enjoying. This exhibit will illustrate, through interactive devices and hands-on learning, how food transformation and land appreciation is an essential part of daily life. It will also demonstrate how today some of these practices, although modernized, are still relevant. The exhibit is tentatively titled 'Gather and Grow.'
