What is a Recreation & Parks 10-Year Plan?
A Recreation & Parks 10-Year Plan will help guide future investments for community centres, ice rinks, sports fields, pools and splash pads, playgrounds, and much more!
The Plan will also help ensure that the City's parks and recreation opportunities are positioned to successfully respond to new opportunities, evolving needs, and changes (including COVID-19 impacts, provincial legislations, population growth, and participation trends).
How many years will this Plan see through?
The City of Pickering's Recreation & Parks 10-Year Plan will identify and prioritize future recreation and parks needs over the next ten years (2024 to 2034).
