Thank you for engaging with us! Stay tuned for updates.

The Pickering Public Library’s mission is to provide equitable access to the resources and ideas that inspire lifelong learning and well-being.

To improve access and reduce travel barriers, the Library will be introducing a "library on wheels" with a focus on communities that are furthest from, or have limited access to, an existing library location.

There are many ways to participate on this engagement platform:

1) Take the survey and tell us what services you'd like to see on the vehicle.

2) Add your ideas to the 'Ideas Board'. You have the option to include a photo if that helps convey your feedback!

3) Drop a pin in 'Maps' to show us where you'd like to suggest the vehicle regularly visit. Include a comment to help us learn about the suggested location.

Starting November 15, the online activities listed above will be available at the Central Library or George Ashe Library for participants wishing to engage in-person.

These engagement activities will be available until December 3, 2021.

Thank you for participating in shaping this new library service! Be sure to click "Follow Project" and check back on this project page for updates and any additional input opportunities.

Help Us Identify Possible Community Stops: Seaton

over 2 years

The Pickering Public Library’s mission is to provide equitable access to the resources and ideas that inspire lifelong learning and well-being.

To improve access in Seaton, the Library will be introducing a service point on wheels. Upon launching the vehicle, our priority is to visit areas of Pickering that are currently the furthest from, and have the least access to, one of our branches (Central Library, George Ashe Library and Claremont Library). However, we need your feedback to narrow down where our vehicle should make regular community stops.

Drop a pin where you’d like to see the vehicle regularly visit and leave a comment about why you picked this location. While we may not be able to stop at every location suggested, your feedback will help guide our decisions so we can bring the vehicle to locations that are convenient for you!

CLOSED: This map consultation has concluded.
