Outdoor Pickleball Courts at Shadybrook Park

The City of Pickering's Recreation & Parks 10 Year Plan recommends the development of Pickleball courts to meet the current and future demands for playing time.

In the summer of 2024, four pickleball courts were opened at Shadybrook Park, Pickleball remained in full play until October 2024.
In the summer of 2025, two pickleball courts were open for play and noise reduction panels were added to two sides of the pickleball enclosure. A noise study was conducted to determine the impact of pickleball play on nearby residences.

We are seeking the Amberlea community input to help us shape how the pickleball courts will be used in the future. Please fill out the survey below, and have your say by December 19, 2025. Staff will report back to Council with the survey results.
