The City of Pickering's Recreation & Parks 10 Year Plan recommends the development of Pickleball courts to meet the current and future demands for playing time.
The City is considering the installation of 6 outdoor pickleball courts at Diana, Princess of Wales Park for late Summer 2025. These courts will replace one mini soccer pitch that is currently used for recreational soccer.
The courts are proposed off of Pickering Parkway, near the gravel lot, with construction scheduled to start for Summer 2025.
The courts will be open for play, weather permitting from May 1st to October 31st during daylight hours starting at 8:00 am. An acoustic study will be conducted to determine likely noise levels and inform design of the courts to reduce noise where possible.
We invite you to join us at our in-person consultations on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm or Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 11:00am - 1:00pm in the front lobby of the Chestnut Hill Development Recreation Complex.
