The City of Pickering is updating its Official Plan, the City’s long-range, comprehensive planning document that guides land use decision-making. An Official Plan addresses issues such as:
- Where to locate new housing, industry, offices and shops.
- What services are needed, such as roads, watermains, sewers, parks and schools.
- How to protect the natural environment and cultural heritage.
- When, where, and in what order the community will grow.
- Where, and how the City will invest in community improvement initiatives.
This survey focuses on the City’s Community Elements and Infrastructure. Feedback received will inform how, where and in what form mobility, cultural heritage and parks will occur within Pickering to 2051.
The City will share a summary of the survey results. However, all individual responses are confidential. All questions are optional, and the survey should take about 15 minutes to complete.
