The City of Pickering is updating its Official Plan, the City’s long-range planning document. 

An Official Plan describes:

• Where new housing, industry, offices and shops will be located.
• What services will be needed, such as roads, watermains, sewers, parks and schools.
• How to protect what is important, such as the natural environment and historic homes.
• When, where, and in what order the community will grow.
