Kingfisher Caretaker

Terry has been a longtime resident of Kingfisher Drive and has seen our street through many snowstorms. For years he has been using his snowblower to take care of driveways for our senior residents and is always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needs it. In the summer he switches to mowing the grass for those who are in need, and so generously maintains the large grass strip at the end of the street for the free little library area where the kids often come to play. He has truly spent his life being a great neighbour to us all.

Local Company with a Big Heart

The Brougham Cemetery is a small community cemetery dating back to the mid 1800s that is run by a small group of volunteers. The derecho on May 21, 2022 blew over or broke most of the trees bordering the south side of the cemetery. The Cemetery approached Dutchmaster Nurseries, a long time local wholesaler of trees and manufacturer of nursery equipment, to see what they could do to help. Our hope was that they could give us a discount. Instead, Dutchmaster Nurseries generously donated trees and planted them. This was invaluable as the Cemetery has a very limited budget and…
