Architectural Evaluation of the North Pickering Project and the Toronto Area Airports Project Sites - Cherrywood Blacksmith's Shop. G.M. Yost Associates Limited. Photograph. 1974. North Pickering Project Collection, Pickering Local History Collection. 96-01612. John McCreight settled here in 1834. Designated heritage properties include the John Petty house and the blacksmith shop. Evidence of the blacksmith’s shop remains at the southwest corner of the Third Concession Road and Rosebank Road. The former place of worship on the north side of the 3rd Concession Road west of Rosebank Road is made of bricks from the original brick yard. The original general store remains in Cherrywood.
