Pickering Fire Services
Pickering Fire Services is dedicated to preserving life, property, and the environment of our community, through effective public education, code enforcement, and emergency response.
This is achieved through the hard work and commitment from our staff in the following areas:
Public Education- Provides fire safety information to the public and community groups through a number of methods, including lectures, public events, and on line course delivery.
Prevention- Provides Fire and Building Code inspection and enforcement to ensure buildings in the city comply with all regulatory code requirements.
Training- Develops and delivers training and promotional programs to ensure all Fire Services staff are current in skills, certifications, and knowledge.
Suppression- Provides timely response from 4 (soon to be 5) strategically placed fire halls within the city to all emergencies, including fires, motor vehicle accidents, rescues, and hazards.
Administration- Provides oversight, direction and management support to all the divisions.
